Seamless & Gilded Frames with John Anderson

Have you read books on gilding or watched a video and been left with a hundred questions about terminology, techniques, materials, and sources of supply? If you intend to begin gilding frames, this one- day course is designed to demystify the different methods and materials and save you countless hours of research and trial and error. It will cover: building, carving, oil versus water gilding, gold leaf versus metal leaf, clay (bole) frames, the different techniques and results, and toning / antiquing basics. It will provide demonstrations, formulas, tools, and sources of supply. John Anderson is the husband of Kathy Anderson, a Putney Painter. He began framing for Kathy about 6 years ago and while he continues to study and learn himself, he also has a wealth of hard-earned knowledge to share.
